1. What we collect
When you create an account, we may collect your name or chosen display identity, email address, age-confirmation result, language, authentication identifiers and account settings.
When you participate, we process contributions, images, links, reactions, reports, blocks, room membership and message requests. We also process limited device, security, crash and usage information needed to operate and protect the service.
2. What we deliberately avoid
HASHTAG does not require a profile photo or avatar. The planned launch does not request your contacts, precise location or microphone access. We do not sell personal data or use sensitive information for targeted advertising.
3. Why we process data
- Provide rooms, accounts, contributions, translation and message requests.
- Detect abuse, enforce Community Standards and respond to reports.
- Protect accounts, prevent fraud and maintain service reliability.
- Meet legal obligations and defend legal claims where necessary.
4. Retention
Room content is designed to expire after 24 or 48 hours. Operational deletion may take a short additional period; encrypted backups are scheduled to age out within 30 days. Reports, enforcement records and security logs may be kept longer when required for safety, fraud prevention, appeals or law.
5. AI and translation
Text may be processed by automated systems for safety, spam detection, translation and #HASH features. AI output is labelled. Production providers, regions and retention controls will be listed here before launch.
6. Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed for hosting, moderation, authentication, analytics, customer support and legal compliance. Payment information is handled by Apple or Google when purchases exist; we do not receive full card details.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. You can block members, hide contributions and change language settings inside the app.
8. Age
The service is not intended for children under 16. A higher minimum applies where local law requires it. Suspected child exploitation is prioritized and escalated under our Safety Standards.
9. International use
HASHTAG is intended for global use. Where data crosses borders, we will use appropriate legal safeguards and disclose production hosting locations before launch.
10. Changes
Material changes will be dated and communicated in the app. Questions can be sent to privacy@enterhashtag.com.
